The mission of organic electronics is to develop electronic and optoelectronic devices based on organic materials. The lecture presents materials synthesis-driven hot topics of current organic electronics research, especially towards systematic control on morphology and (opto)electronic properties of conjugated (co)polymers. The examples include conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs) for thin charge extraction interlayers of organic solar cells [1], donor (co)polymer design and synthesis for application in organic solar cells [2,3], and all-conjugated rod-rod block copolymers and their self-assembly properties [4-6].
