The material properties requirements of organic semiconductors is manifold, ranging from suitable absorption, electronic energy levels up to nanoscale morphology. A variety of synthetic approaches will be demonstrated to design fully functionalized block copolymers suitable for application in organic solar cells. The crystalline structure and morphology in bulk and thin films will be presented.
