Three days of the IRTG Experience Transfer Training Camp 2014 embrace three frameworks:

Time management

Since everyone probably uses different tools to organize oneself and there is no fixed solution for supporting the working progress, it may happen that something "drops out", and then you will be unpleasantly reminded in case someone demands again a response or a task to be done. A delicate question is: How much am I able to handle? Is that - even with a good organization - at all manageable? How do I handle with this?

Additionally, experience shows that for time and self-management, the issue of adequate information storage plays a role. Who needs to search for documents and data – wastes time. For a good storage (physical and virtual), Ms. Naumann has advices, which support time management well.

With the talk of Ms. Vera Naumann we will receive the following benefits:
a.    Seminar in English
b.    Custom-developed program for our personal needs
c.    A full-text manuscript in English
d.    Practice material
e.    Photo protocol of the material developed during the seminar

Scientific writing

The seminar will be held in an interactive manner:

Session 1: Workshop on structure style and content of a scientific paper
Session 2: Detailed analysis of published papers
Session 3: Common problems in scientific writing in English for non-native speakers

CV and getting employed

A preparation of strong application documents.

Goal: The participants are provided with helpful suggestions on the creation of written application documents. Main topics are Curriculum Vitae, differences between France and Germany as well as between academic research and other fields of work. Furthermore cover letters and unsolicited applications are discussed.

The participants are encouraged to bring their own CVs.

Three round tables for the aims of experience transfer are also included in the program of event.

For registration please contact the head of organizational committee Vasilii Lesnichii via e-mail vasilii.lesnichii@physchem.uni-freiburg.de.
Since the amount of participants is limited with 20 people, members are supposed to receive a confirmation of participation.

Participants not from Freiburg should book their rooms in frames of an allotment in the «InterCity Hotel» before 01.02.14! For a «code word» please contact Vasilii.
