Climate
Schluchsee is located in the Schwarzwald (Black Forrest mountains) at an altitude of around 1000m above sea level. In May the weather can still be quite cold.

Transportation
Airports
The airports connected by a good public transport to Schluchsee are Frankfurt in Germany with Deutsche Bahn (German railways) and Mulhouse/Basel in France by Airport Bus Mulhouse/Basel - Freiburg. From both airports there is a fast and convenient connection to Freiburg.

Shuttle Bus
A shuttle bus will be operating between Strasbourg, Freiburg and the hotel in Schluchsee on Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon.

Trains
From Freiburg Hbf to Schluchsee every one hour from 7:10am to 8:10pm, and from Schluchsee to Freiburg Hbf every one hour from 8:42am to 7:42pm. Trains take appr. 60 min.

Car
Take the A5 to Freiburg. From Freiburg take the B31 to Titisee-Neustadt and then switch to the B317/B500 after Titisee. Coming from the East via the B31, switch to the B317/B500 after Neustadt.
